On November 4, rapper Dominique Armani Jones, aka Lil Baby, posted on X that he would be releasing new work every Wednesday. As per the post, he wrote:

“Song & Video Every Wednesday For The Rest Of The Year #whamwednesdays #strictlyforthefans.”

Social media users shared their reactions, with one X user comparing the situation to Kanye West’s “Good Friday” releases. They wrote:

“Bro thinks he has Good Friday energy lmao.”

Other social media users mentioned the rapper’s retirement rumors. According to an online commentator:

“Hate when ni**as fake retire, be having my hopes up for none.”

Another X user defended him from the critics, writing:

“Gosh people love to hate on this app… I’m excited for it, mans still got talent WHAM still one of the highest selling rap albums of 2025. Yea sure The Leaks didn’t get a proper release, but Logic did this with Sidequest and imho it came together quite nicely.”

However, some social media users seemed to backfire on Lil Baby, as one commented:

“The amount of a** this man will be dropping and everyone will stop listening after the 4th Wednesday.”

Another netizen mentioned:

“This guy missed the last 3 dates he announced for his album btw.”

Meanwhile, an X user suggested that Lil Baby should drop the album at this point, writing:

“Ni**a breaking down the album bruh just drop the album and take the criticism.”

Lil Baby discusses the career options he had before rapping and learning about himself

In March 2025, the rapper sat down on the DeepCut with VicBlends show. When Blends asked whether he remembered any of his mother’s lessons, Lil Baby said that he learned a lot about women from his mother. He highlighted that his mother explained everything to him. However, he also pointed out that he was the black sheep of the family. When asked about the options he had before he chose rapping, he said:

“I always kept like I going to say lame friends but like cool friends like even since I was younger like I need y'all to go to college cause I know what I'm going to be doing you know what I'm saying? Like I need y'all like even if I was to like meet a girl or something like my mind always been said I'm like I need to start a business. So, without rapping I would have had to start me some kind of business.”

Reflecting on his dreams, Lil Baby said:

“I had a childhood dream of being a millionaire only. I never had a dream of a job I thought I'd be some more sh*t but I just knew I would find a way to get me a lot of money.”

The rapper also mentioned how everything was up to the almighty. Speaking of losses, Lil Baby said one needed to learn from them for it to no longer be a loss. When asked what he learned about himself recently, the rapper said that he learns something about himself every day.
