Brooklyn Beckham posts an engagement anniversary selfie with Nicola Peltz; says asking her to marry was his 'best decision ever'

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are basking in their affection for one another. On June 23, Brooklyn took to social media to profess his love for his wife through an anniversary post on Instagram. His tribute to Nicola in the caption was moving and heartfelt:

“It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much ❤️”

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz got engaged in 2020 and married in 2022. The Cloud23 hot sauce founder is the eldest of Sir David and Victoria Beckham’s four children.

On June 18, at the launch of Jefferson’s Rye Whiskey in Brooklyn, Beckham spoke to People Magazine about several topics, including his love for catering to his wife:

“I love cooking my wife stuff, and I try and cook every night.”

While Brooklyn Beckham did share that Nicola will contribute from time to time, it is an activity he likes to get lost in with his four-legged friends:

“It's just me listening to my music, maybe watching a movie, having a drink. I get lost in it.”

Brooklyn’s Instagram post comes at a time of apparent family unrest. Notably, a source shared with People Magazine in May that "there are tensions" between Brooklyn, his wife, and the rest of the Beckham crew. This sentiment was further reinforced when the couple conspicuously skipped David's 50th birthday celebration in May. The source then elaborated on the current status of the drama and purported infighting behind closed doors.

“While the pair have been noticeably absent from the Beckhams' recent functions, the relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”

This is an interesting analysis of the current situation. While both sides would presumably like for the situation to be resolved, back-and-forth jabs between the Beckham siblings on social media seem to show a deeper rift than expected.

A different source alleged to People Magazine that Brooklyn and Peltz skipped the event because of Kim Turnbull being present. Kim reportedly had an old fling with Brooklyn in the past, and he felt weary of her presence around his brother Romeo. Since the source has come out, both Romeo and Turnbull have replied in kind, calling the romantic relationship rumors “lies.”
