Chanel Thierry blasts DJ Mustard’s fiancée Brittany Stroud over child safety as she shares text exchange

Chanel Thierry, the ex-wife of DJ Mustard, slammed his fiancée, Brittany Stroud, due to custody issues concerning one of their children. She publicly criticized the music producer and his current fiancée on Threads, where Thierry shared a string of messages accusing Stroud of safety breaches, communication problems, and a lack of respect for co-parenting guidelines.

Mustard and his ex-wife, reached out to Chanel Thierry after seeing that Chanel had posted publicly about her on Threads. Brittany was upset that Chanel did not contact her directly, especially about concerns regarding the car seat and child safety.

According to her, Chanel never messaged her directly about the more serious issue, even though she was publicly venting about football schedules and drama with Dijon, DJ Mustard's real name.

In a scathing response, Chanel Thierry said she had messaged Brittany and didn't give a damn about her posts. She said that Brittany had brought up the car seat issue with DJ Mustard (Dijon), who disregarded it and accused her of voluntarily getting involved in his complicated personal life.

Brittany snapped by writing that Chanel needs therapy and that years of ranting on the internet have not resolved the issue. She reminded her that their last conversation ended on a good note, but she didn't get any direct message about the child's safety.

Chanel Thierry mentioned that Brittanny attended her son's graduation without speaking to her, which she viewed as disrespectful. She also mentioned that Brittanny should have the decency to address any problems related to her kids with her, as she is involved with the kids' father.

She ended the message with:

"Now I'm asking you AGAIN. Since you wanted to speak personally about this. Why was my kid not strapped in??"

On July 20, not long after DJ Mustard announced his engagement to Stroud, the controversy erupted. Thierry alleged that Stroud had been driving their kid without a car seat and accused him of disregarding her numerous demands for their child's football schedule. She wrote:

“How did a simple ‘can I have the football schedule?’ Turn into you updating your relationship status??! Sir I can give a f**k less if yall engaged! Congrats! Can someone please send me the mf schedule now!? DAMN! I’m really annoyed. I’ve asked everyone on that side for my baby’s stuff and they keep ignoring me. INSANEEEEEE.”

She added:

“Your fiance riding around with our son not in a car seat, I say something about this and once again it’s met with an Ignore. My child’s safety will never in life be taken lightly,” she continued. “EVERYONE will respect me as those kids mother or I’ll take it each and every time! Now run me that football schedule.”

Thierry took another jab at the newly engaged couple by writing:

“Now please find something safe to do besides playing with me on the back end yet presenting yourself happy to the world. CLOWN.”

She later declared:

“I can’t stand a man who can t just take his L and move on.”

DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry got married in 2020 and have three kids together. However, they ended their marriage in 2024 when they filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ, in their split, Mustard walked away with a fleet of expensive automobiles and residential properties, while his ex-wife, Thierry, received a one-time payment of $315,000 in spousal support and $24,500 in child support per month. The couple also agreed on joint legal custody of the children.
