More about Taylor Swift's hospital visits
Her recent visit at the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is not the first time the singer has visited hospitals to show her love and support to the patients. In December, 2024, Taylor Swift visited the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, a day before her birthday. After one of the patients complimented her on her Miu Miu outfit of the day, the singer gifted them with a matching set for the holidays.
Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce was also alongside her during the visit. Patient Baylee's mother, Melissa Nuzum took to Facebook to share the incident saying:
"We had the coolest and most unexpected surprise ever...Taylor Swift came to visit inpatient children today and Baylee was chosen since she requests Taylor songs during her uncomfortable procedures."
She continued:
"Y'all she is amazing. On top of her sheer beauty, she was a kind and personable and down to earth. She gave Baylee a signed copy of her Eras Tour book and accepted a gift from Baylee, a diamond art picture as well. We have fan girled all morning, I even cried as it's wonderful to see my girl smile so much knowing the pain she's been in."
Swift has had a history of donating to children's charities and organizations. In December, 2024, Swift made a $250,000 donation to Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas-City based non-profit that supports children in poverty. Earlier, she had donated $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame for educational music programs, and has also supported other organizations like the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
