Chris O'Dowd's wife Dawn O'Porter reveals she is reportedly 'broke' and is living 'paycheck to paycheck'

Dawn O'Porter has revealed that despite being married to well-known actor Chris O'Dowd, she currently faces a tough financial situation.

According to Us Weekly, O'Porter revealed her current situation on the July 25 edition of the White Wine Question Time podcast. She said she was struggling financially despite living well, and added:

"I work paycheck to paycheck. I’m always broke."

Dawn O'Porter has been married to Chris O'Dowd since 2012. The pair met though a mutual friend, and soon began dating, eventually tying the knot. Chris O'Dowd and Dawn O'Porter welcomed their first child, Art, in 2015 and second child, Valentin, in 2017.

Dawn O'Porter revealed her situation during an appearance on the White Wine Question Time podcast hosted by Kate Thorton that her card got declined last week while making a purchase. She said:

"My card got declined last week. I’m like, ‘What the f*ck is happening? When will this end?’ I’ve never felt, like, I’m living [well].

She added:

"Some years you’re doing well, and some years it’s just an absolute disaster. That pattern never ends."

In the podcast, she also talked about meeting Chris O'Dowd at the height of his career, but added that she was not doing well in her career at that time. She said:

"My TV career had just gone. I was so poor. I was so upset. I had zero confidence. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I’d just met Chris, and he was on this trajectory up. I thought, ‘Well, maybe this is just it. I’m just a girlfriend, and that’s it.’ I went to all these events with him. … I always thought, ‘If I was in this position, it would be because I deserve it.’”

She also opened up about how she still does not consider herself or her husband Chris O'Dowd as anything other than everyday people. She said:

"I’ve never seen myself as a celebrity ever, even though I’m married to Chris, who is quite a well-known actor. I don’t think either of us has ever seen ourselves as celebrities. I guess if I was a celebrity, I’d get paid lots of money to do things that aren’t necessarily my job or don’t really feed what I do, but I don’t. My job is writing with the occasional little ad on Instagram to pay the rent.”

Dawn O'Porter added in the interview that after her marriage to Chris O'Dowd, the couple moved to London where they still live, and said that she still works a 9 to 5 job, something she is "lucky" to have.
