Actors Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig are in talks to star in Damien Chazelle's new prison drama, as per reports in Deadline.
As per the outlet, the name of the film has not been revealed yet. Known for helming films such as Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench (2009), Whiplash (2014), La La Land (2016), and Babylon (2022), Chazelle's next film might explore a world within a prison.

Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig are considering the project
Damien Chazzele was keen to make a film on the iconic stunt performer Evel Knievel, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. However, the project did not work out. When the Evel Knievel project with DiCaprio did not materialise, Chazelle decided it was time to run with the prison idea he had had for a while.
Paramount Pictures shall be handling the distribution of the film. Damien Chazelle shall also produce the film, collaborating with Olivia Hamilton from their production company Wild Chickens.
Cillian Murphy, who is known for his work in films and series including Red Eye (2005), Sunshine (2007), Peaky Blinders (2013-2022), Oppenheimer (2023), Small Things Like These (2024), will star in the forthcoming projects including Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later, and its immediate sequel helmed by Nia Da Costa 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.
He will also star in Tim Miehlants's Steve and return to his iconic role of Thomas Shelby in Tom Harper's The Immortal Man, the follow-up film of the Peaky Blinders series.
Daniel Craig is recognised for his work in films, including the James Bond film series and films such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Golden Compass (2007), Cowboys & Aliens (2011), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), the Knives Out film series (2019, 2022), and his last release, Queer (2024).
His forthcoming project is the third film of the Knives Out film franchise, Wake Up Dead Man.
