Last October, David Del Rio was dismissed from the American legal drama series, Matlock, after he was accused of sexually assaulting his co-star, Lean Lewis. According to TMZ, the actor was escorted out of the Paramount venue and removed from the show the very same day the complaint was filed.

The investigation into this case was closed, but TMZ has learned from sources close to Rio that it has been reopened for further investigation. It was reopened around Thanksgiving, and many individuals have been interviewed, including David himself, his attorney Shawn Holley, and others.

David Del Rio has denied the accusations made against him by Leah Lewis and immediately hired Shawn Holley. TMZ has spoken to CBS, but the broadcasting company refused to comment on any legal matters.

What did Leah Lewis say after David Del Rio's sexual assault complaint?

TMZ reported the story back in October after Leah Lewis filed a sexual assault complaint against her co-worker, David Del Rio. Leah took to Instagram to send a message to her followers and fans who were concerned about her.

She posted an Instagram story with her mother. She was hugging her mother in the photo, and wrote:

"Mom is here, we're moving forward in love and strength. I'm in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we're moving forward in strength. Key word, strength. Please, let that be the take away."

According to information received by TMZ, the reports say that the alleged sexual assault happened on the Paramount lot. While another source from Deadline added that the assault allegedly happened on September 26.

Back in October, after Del Rio was fired from Matlock, CBS confirmed that his character, Billy Martinez, would be written off. Another source spoke to TMZ to share information that Billy Martinez has been written off for future episodes, and that Matlock is back in production after taking a short break.

The case against David Del Rio has been reopened, and many people are being questioned again. Leah Lewis has spoken out, saying she is staying strong with the support of her family and fans. As the investigation continues, Del Rio's character has been removed from Matlock, and the show has resumed production.
