David Geffen, 82, is officially parting ways from his Go-Go Dancer husband, David Armstrong, 32.

Several outlets have reported that he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and the pair did not have a prenuptial agreement in place. According to News X, Geffen boasts a net worth of $8.2 billion, with potentially a large chunk of it being left exposed.

The pair tied the knot back in 2023 at an intimate ceremony in Beverly Hills, when Armstrong was known as Donovan Michaels. TMZ has reported that prolific divorce attorney Laura Wasser is assisting Geffen in the case.

Everything we know about David Geffen and David Armstrong

Having been retired for 15 years, the Daily Mail has reported that much of David Geffen's income is derived from stocks and other equities, all of which fall under separate property. Under California law, dividends from stocks also fall outside marital property, indicating that Armstrong might be entitled to little to no cash payout.

The Daily Mail has also reported that, as California law dictates spousal support be given for half the length of the marriage, Armstrong will be given spousal support for about a year. At the time of writing, however, the exact figure remains unclear, though Geffen will also fund Armstrong's attorney's fees.

The entertainment billionaire co-founded Asylum Records in 1971, and eight years later, he founded Geffen Records. By 1990, he launched DGC Records, and in 1996, he co-founded the legendary DreamWorks Records.

David Geffen and his now-estranged beau reportedly first met back in 2020, when the latter served as his personal trainer. His estranged friends told The Post at the time that his income came from working odd jobs in New York and Miami. The Daily Mail has reported that his past also includes several name changes, online cam shows, and nude pool parties at gay clubs, among other things.

According to the outlet, Armstrong was born in Michigan, one of his friends told The Post, noting that he came from 'very humble beginnings.' He moved to Florida in 2014 to work as a dancer and promoter at Miami gay clubs, where he was often seen 'along with plenty of other hot s*xy guys,' and attending 'clothing optional' swim parties.

One of his ex-girlfriends told the outlet she knew he was into women, but that she 'wouldn't be surprised' to see him with a man.

'I mean, he's very attractive,' she told The Post. 'He would tell me people just assumed that he was into guys from what he posts on Instagram. I know that he was getting comments like that from gay men, that he was really attractive and in really good shape.'

As for David Geffen, he came out as gay back in 1992, after having been romantically linked to several figures, including Cher.
