Deadpool & Wolverine was released on the silver screen on July 26, 2024, after a screening at New York's David H. Koch Theater. The superhero film received positive critical reviews and grossed $1.338 billion at the global box office. It was directed by Shawn Levy and starred Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively. Here's the official synopsis as per Letteboxd:

A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life with his days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. But when his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctant Wolverine.

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has given the film an R rating, indicating that audiences aged 18 and above are the intended audience. So, no, the movie is not suitable for kids. It was because of its depiction of blood, strong language, violence, as well as s*xual references. Here's a look at the degree of every aspect in the film that led to the R rating.

Deadpool & Wolverine focuses on Deadpool teaming up with Wolverine to defeat the Time Variance Authority (TVA). It is written by Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Rhett Reese, Zeb Wells, and Paul Wernick. Reynolds and Levy have also produced it along with Kevin Feige and Lauren Shuler Donner. Its cast members include,

Jackman had decided to retire from the character of Wolverine after 2017's Logan. However, he came back to reprise the superhero role in the film. Jackman spoke to Fandango about it:

“I was on my way, I was just driving, and literally, just like a bolt of lightning, came this knowing deep in my gut that I wanted to do this film with Ryan. For Deapdool and Wolverine to come back together. I swear to you, When I said I was done, I really thought I was done.”

However, his decision changed after watching the first Deadpool film, as he wanted both characters to come together.
