Ryan Garcia, who was defeated by Rolly Romero on 2 May, was seen crying after the match on Friday. In the video, Garcia, who returned to the game after serving his one year suspension, was seen visibly upset as he sat in his car while another person is seen comforting him. One user on Instagram, jokingly commented that Devin Haney might have been the mastermind behind the video. They wrote:

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia had earlier fought in April last year, in which Ryan Garcia was initially declared the winner by unanimous decision. But later in May, the twenty six year old tested positive for Ostarine, a performance-enhancing d*ug, which lead to the match being declared as no contest and Garcia being handed a one year suspension by the New York Athletics Commission. He was also later expelled by the World Boxing Council for racist remarks he had made during this time. The match on Friday, was supposed to mark Ryan Garcia's big return to the sport, but in a surprising move, was stopped by Rolly Romero.
