Abby and Brittany Hensel, conjoined twins known for their unique life journey, were recently seen in public carrying a baby.
The sightings led to media reports and online speculation that the sisters had welcomed a child. Soon after, a TikTok account using their photos appeared to confirm the rumors.
On August 30, the account shared a paparazzi photo of the twins carrying the baby with the word “Blessed” written on it. Many believed this was the twins’ way of announcing the baby news. The post spread quickly, and the story drew significant attention online and in the press.
However, Abby’s husband, Josh Bowling, has now spoken out. He said that the TikTok account is fake and does not belong to his family. He also clarified that neither Abby nor Brittany has ever had a TikTok account.
Abby and Brittany Hensel's fake TikTok account sparks rumors
The rumors began when Abby and Brittany Hensel were photographed carrying a baby in public. Later, paparazzi photos of them with a car seat added to the speculation. Soon after, a TikTok account posted one of the photos with the caption “Blessed.” Many fans believed this meant the sisters were confirming the baby news themselves.
Josh explained that this is not the case. “We’re unsure who exactly runs it,” he told People Magazine.
He believes the person behind the account downloaded photos from his mother’s Facebook account before she made it private.
He added, “They [...] started using photos available to the media and everyone else. I can definitely guarantee that it’s not us.”
The account had been online for some time, but Josh said they had ignored it until now.
“At first, we just assumed it was someone trying to make a quick buck or something, so it wasn’t worth saying anything,” he said.
The growing media attention, however, made it necessary to respond.

Public speculation and privacy
The TikTok post fueled speculation that Abby and Brittany Hensel had welcomed a baby. They were seen carrying a newborn in public on more than one occasion, which added to the rumors.
But Bowling has stressed that neither he nor the sisters made such a post. He said the impersonator account is misleading and has drawn unwanted attention to his family. He also explained that the media should not rely on content from accounts that are not officially linked to them.
Abby and Brittany Hensel, both elementary school teachers, have not commented on the matter themselves. They continue to live in Minnesota with Bowling, where they were born and raised.
