Amidst the ongoing court case of Sean Diddy Combs, a claim went viral saying actress Amber Heard testified in the trial. On June 2, 2025, a YouTube channel “Black Is Best” uploaded a video titled:

“1 MINUTE AGO: Amber Heard Testifies In Court On Day 17 Of Diddy Trial”

As understood from the caption, the video claimed that on the 14th day (a mismatch with the title) of Diddy's trial, Amber Heard took the stand and delivered testimony alleging that both Diddy and Johnny Depp had been part of unsettling and ritualistic experiences in private.

Becoming emotional as she spoke, she described hidden bathhouse meetings, mental manipulation, and fear-filled moments that she said had stayed with her for years.

However, it must be mentioned that Amber Heard did not testify in Combs’ trial, and the claim is fictional. This is more so because the video’s description itself mentions:

“This video is a fictionalized dramatization created for entertainment purposes only. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.”

Moreover, the video description further alleged:

“For the first time, she openly admitted that these secret gatherings left her feeling broken and used, and that she has carried that pain behind the scenes while the world labeled her everything but a victim.”

At the time of writing, the video has gained over 15,000 views. It is noteworthy that the video’s thumbnail seems to be generated using AI. The channel that posted the video is known for making gossip-based content and exaggerated claims. Furthermore, the channel's description states:

“Please exercise your own discretion while watching and remember that not all information presented may be factual or verified.”

What did Dawn Hughes say during Diddy’s trial?

Although Amber Heard did not have any direct connection with Diddy’s trial, a psychologist, Dawn Hughes, who was present during the Depp v. Heard trial, reportedly took the stand in May 2025. She explained the psychology behind why most victims continue to put up with abusive relationships.

She opined that when the abuse takes a physical turn, it becomes more challenging for the victim to seek help due to conditions of humiliation and shame. Moreover, Hughes said the class position of the victim could also play a major role, as sometimes, they remain dependent on the abusive partner.

Previously, Diddy’s legal team was not open to the idea of Hughes’ presence in the trial, as they alleged that she was biased in her testimony. According to HotNewHipHop, his lawyer said:

“In this case, Hughes has apparently not interviewed the alleged victims at all, much less engaged in the sort of psychological diagnostics that her profession demands”

They went on:

“As a result, she offers unadorned opinions that can explain the accusers’ behavior – even though she has made no effort to exclude alternate explanations.”

The attorney argued that the repeated references to Hughes' opinions would likely influence the jury, but claimed this approach misused expert testimony and wouldn’t lead to a clearer understanding of the facts.

The defense maintained that certain behaviors, like Combs providing financial support to his partners or giving gifts after arguments, might be labeled as coercion by Hughes, even though they didn’t meet the legal criteria for coercion.
