Did Barbra Streisand date Warren Beatty? Funny Girl recalls sleeping with actor in same bed

As per a recent article by the New York Post, Barbara Streisand recalled sleeping in the same bed with her longtime buddy Warren Beatty. Streisand and Beatty had a rumored fling in the 70's, although they never dated.

During an interview with The New Yorker on June 14, Saturday, A Star is Born actress gave details about this matter while discussing a similar anecdote in My Name is Barbra, her 2023 tell-all. Streisand does not remember sleeping in the same bed as Beatty despite their rumored fling.

"I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can't remember if we actually had penetration. I swear to God, I can't. There are certain things I block out." Barbra Streisnd told The New Yorker.

Streisand wrote about an interview she did with Playboy Magazine in 1977 when the actress was asked about being romantically involved with Warren Beatty.

"When [Grobel] asked if I was once 'romantically linked' with Warren Beatty, I said blithely, 'One of my flings" Streisand writes as per an article by Entertainment Weekly. "I was just tossing off a reply, playing the role of a jaded woman of the world."

She further described that the reality is far more complicated, and things weren't all black and white between Streisand and Beatty.

"Recently, we were on the phone talking politics and who knows what else when he said, 'I remember why we broke up.' I said, 'When were we together?' Then I hung up and asked myself, Did I sleep with Warren? I kind of remember. I guess I did. Probably once." Barbra Streisand told Entertainment Weekly.

Streisand quickly decided to jump from the topic and gave details about still being good friends with the actor.

“But I know we’re still friends. Every year on my birthday, he calls me and we have a wonderful talk about our lives, our children, and so forth.”

“I said blithely, one of my flings. I was just tossing off a reply, playing the role of a jaded woman of the world. Still, while Streisand and Beatty “go back a long way,” she also admitted that there is “some water under that bridge.” Streisand gave further details.

Comedian Kathy Griffin also recalled in her memoir in 2016 about a conversation she overheard at a party between the two stars. Griffin recalled Streisand telling her that she and Beatty had hooked up.

"Warren, I'm not going to have this fight with you again. We nev-ah hooked up," Streisand recalled as per Griffin. "Noooo, Barbra, I think we did," Beatty allegedly said. "We were coming back from that little club in the Catskills."
