Doja Cat is going viral for her apparent beef with one of her fans.
In a clip going viral, the songstress can be seen mingling with a fan named Pablo. He takes off his shirt, which reads “Hot Boys Kiss Boys,” and hands it to her because she’s “the iconic it girl.” He then pulls her in for a hug before cheerfully planting a kiss on her cheek.
"When Doja Cat likes your shirt, you give her your shirt," the text over the video reads.
Shortly after, Doja Cat took to X to reveal that she had disposed of the shirt, though she later deleted the tweet. However, fans were quick to take screenshots and circulate them online.
"I threw that musty a** shirt away btw," she penned.
The drama between Doja Cat and her fan explored:
In another now-deleted tweet, Doja Cat expressed her frustration about being hugged or touched without her consent. She also lamented not standing up for herself in the moment.
"bottom line is i'll smile at you but it doesn't mean I f*ck w you and don't touch me and man handle me when you don't even f*ckin know me. iykyk. i honestly think I need to stand up for myself in the moment sometimes. and he didn't even know my f*ckin name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy," she penned.
The fan in question has since caught on, prompting him to release a video in his defense. He was at a party when he heard Doja Cat was talking about him on X, which he said “hurt” him. He expressed his love for her and, while admitting he’s not her biggest fan, said he “stans” her and thinks her work is “amazing.”
"I just think it's crazy," he began, "because she's the one at this event who was being so nice, and she pointed at my shirt and said 'I like that,' and when I went outside and she was outside, I told her, 'Girl, you'd be the perfect girl for my pride collection.'"
He then recounted explaining to her that he released the T-shirt himself as part of his collection and offered her one.
"She said, 'Oh, I want one right now,' and I said, 'Oh, I could give this one to you.' She said, 'no way, you're not gonna give this to me,' and that's when the video started. And she was being so sweet and amazing, and I thought that's what it was," he recalled.
He went on to address the singer’s claims that he was manhandling her:
"I understand guys, if I was being too nice or whatever, I will take full accountability. I'm gay, I would never wanna make her feel uncomfortable. She's so iconic. I have only been saying the nicest things about her, she's the sweetest celebrity. She made me feel so seen," he said.
Adding that he’s unsure if this is a publicity stunt, he reiterated that he would never be one to make her feel uncomfortable, and that he wouldn’t even have filmed had she not consented.
"Guys, that video that we filmed was after everything, and I don't wanna be that guy that comes on emotionally or whatever but I feel like I'm always the butt of the joke. Like, why am I the punching bag, bro?"
He concluded the video by apologizing if he did anything wrong, adding that the incident has since opened his eyes about people not being who they say they are.
Fans slam Doja Cat for being rude to her fan, here's what everyone is saying:
Fans have since begun slamming the fan, with many pointing out that he should have read Doja Cat’s body language before pulling her in for a hug. Here’s how one user reacted:
"she explained she just smile but that doesn’t mean you can just keep touching her. women usually smile when their uncomfortable."
Even more chimed in. Someone tweeted:
"i never thought id see the day i would have anything negative to say towards doja, but what she did is bullying plainly put. in pride month too? disgusting. i really hope this young man is safe and has a good support system. it breaks my heart he’s going through this right now."
"Was weirdo behavior but does she not have a sh*tty rap sheet with being genuinely terrible to her fans lol,"
There are netizen who stood with the fan and defended him
"she’s weird asf. we stand with you king!!!"
"Does she expect him to read her mind like all they did was hug and kiss and she kept complimenting him like Ijbol I feel bad for him,"
yet another opined. The comments didn't end there. One fan exclaimed,
"just because a man is gay doesn’t give him validation to kiss and touch women without consent!"

"Setting boundaries understandable, but your a celebrity! If you don’t want people touching you or grabbing you have your security around 24/7 sad but true! Yes you are human too BUT YOU ALSO HAVE FANS! Not excusing his behavior because he could have been a calmer but lets be real."
Users were visibly divided online, with many pointing out that Doja Cat should have anticipated this, given her celebrity status.
