In a public statement, Canadian musician Drake has publicly refuted stylist Asiah Knowles's claims on Instagram that he tried to take back a car he had given her. Fans fiercely debated the credibility of the accusations, which swiftly went viral on social media before her account was deleted.
Asiah Knowles said in a post on Instagram that Drake had threatened to reclaim a car that he had given her on her birthday. The Shade Room published screenshots of her with the following caption:
“You already threatened to take the car back after my bday! Anyways. Send the pick up person.”
The stylist said that the Canadian rapper started a private chat with her. Before her page became inaccessible, she had over 113,000 followers.
Many other users, however, questioned the images' credibility, pointing out that the messages were erratic and incomplete.
While responding to the allegation, Drake commented under The Shade Room's post after they reshared the post about Knowles' claim:
“Never met this person in my life.”
Drake went on to write on Instagram:
“Don’t know that human.”
A familiar pattern of claims
This is not the first time Knowles has been at the heart of controversies with a well-known rapper. Pooh Shiesty vehemently denied her claims that they had an intimate relationship and that she was expecting his child in 2022.
Shiesty per HotNewHipHop said:
“I don’t know that lady, I ain’t never really seen her but one time, she got close to lil’ bruh. Sh*t fake. I never had s*x with her. I never touched her, I damn near never gave her a hug. She cap. She a blogger, she messy as hell. Quit playing with myself and quit playing with my guys. Just clearing the air.”
It has made netizens question her credibility as it has happened not once but twice.
What has Drake been up to?
Amid all this, Drake is busy with his career. The rapper is all ready for Drake's Warehouse, an online store hosted by Amazon that sells both new and vintage merchandise. With its launch, the fans are all excited as they can now opt to buy vinyl albums, posters, and even oddball goods like a body pillow and a poop scooper bearing the For All the Dogs logo.
The rapper is also gearing up for his upcoming album, ICEMAN, with its release date soon to be announced. Fans are all excited as singles like "What Did I Miss?" and "Which One" have already been released and are building up the hype for the whole album.
As reported by Hip Hop DX, Drake recently recapped his early years on Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–2009) in the teaser for the upcoming documentary Degrassi: Whatever It Takes. He revealed that playing Jimmy Brooks was a life-changing experience for him:
“I didn’t have a great time in high school, I just didn’t really fit in. And then one day my mom called me and told me, ‘You got the role.’ And I just grabbed my bag and left. What a wild journey that started.”
He also mentioned that one of his first on-screen kisses was with co-star Lauren Collins:
“She had to be one of my first kisses for sure. Damn, I never thought about it like that.”
No one knows what exactly happened between the two, as Drake's clear denial and Knowles' deleted account leave everything unclear. Is it just another rumor, or will new evidence come to light, or will Drake address them again?
