Sarah Jessica Parker dated America's so-called prince, the son of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Onassis. John F. Kennedy Jr. had a romantic history as enthralling as his public persona. America's prince's biography is being released, titled JFK Jr.: An Intimate Oral Biography, written by Liz McNeil and RoseMarie Terenzio, 25 years after his death, which also includes his brief but well-publicized relationship with actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
How did Sarah Jessica Parker meet JFK Jr.?
The Emmy-winning star of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker, met Kennedy Jr. in 1991, shortly after ending her seven-year relationship with Robert Downey Jr. According to director Adam Shankman, Parker was thrilled when the charming lawyer approached her after a theater performance.
SJP informed her friend Adam Shankman on the phone, who later told People magazine about it:
"You're not going to believe who asked me out."
Celebrity writer Christopher Andersen recalls humorous moments between them, such as Sarah Jessica Parker meeting Kennedy at the airport with only a fur coat and high heels. This was because, as reported by Closer Weekly, John “treated her well and made her feel special.”
Despite the great connection they had, Sarah Jessica Parker quickly found the relationship stressful owing to the amount of public attention it garnered. In an interview with The New York Times in the early 1990s, she described the period as "the Kennedy fiasco," stating:
"We would go places where there wasn't a soul around, and the next day I'd see pictures of us there in the tabloids."
She continued:
“I have been a semi-public person since [starring in Annie on Broadway as a child], but I never had any idea what real fame was until I met John. He's a nice man, but for God's sake, I feel like I should apologize for dating him. It has become the defining factor in the person I am. It's pathetic. When I die, they are going to say, 'Oh, yeah, Sarah once dated John Kennedy.'"
Another reason that was mentioned was his looks, according to Andersen's biography. Sarah Jessica Parker joked once, saying:
“What you have is wrong. It's not right. It's unfair, as a woman, to have to stand next to you."
This soon led to their breakup, and they both went their separate ways. SJP moved on and then met actor Matthew Broderick, whom she got married to almost two decades ago, and have three children: James, aged 22, and twins Marion and Tabitha, who are 15 years old, and have mostly kept their personal matters completely private.

While JFK Jr. went on to date high-profile women such as Daryl Hannah, Brooke Shields, and Xuxa until he married Calvin Klein publicist Carolyn Bessette in 1996.
Though Sarah Jessica Parker only dated JFK Jr. for a short six months, she has kept things secret, especially after his death. In the year 2016, when Andy Cohen asked her about kissing the so-called Prince of America, Sarah Jessica Parker said as she became shy:
“It was pleasant. He had exquisite hair. It was like a paintbrush, do you know what I mean?”
She added:
“I feel like we’ve covered this territory, like if he were alive I’d feel more comfortable, if he were accomplishing all the things that I’m certain he was going to accomplish, and living a really joyful and adventurous life then I would probably feel more comfortable answering more questions about him.”
JFK Jr.'s dating history
A short romance with Sarah Jessica Parker was not the only relationship JFK Jr. had. His charm, beauty, and passion attracted other women as well. Many of his exes have also shared their vivid memories of him.
Jr.'s first love was Jenny Christian, who studied in the same school as he did. Christian was smart and witty, which made Jr. fall head over heels for her. He then dated Sally Munro, his classmate at Brown University, who was a down-to-earth and relaxed individual.
He then went on to date Julie Baker, who was a model. After hitting it off on the wrong foot, they went on to date each other. After their breakup, they continued to remain friends for years. She had lunch with him right before he met with his untimely death.
After college, he dated Christina Haag, whom he met while performing in a play. They went on to date her for 5 years until they called it quits. She even released a memoir where he was described as “adventurous and romantic” and other things.
Madonna was also one of the women JFK Jr. dated, though it was short-lived, as again, his mother had disapproved.
Daryl Hannah was next, one of the most high-profile relationships before marriage. They broke it off, as John was reluctant to settle down as well, and Jackie didn't approve of her.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Xuxa, and Brooke Shields are among the others he dated, while it was also rumored he had a thing going on with Cindy Crawford as well, before he eventually settled down with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.
Kennedy died in July 1999, when the jet he was operating crashed off the shore of Martha's Vineyard, killing him, Carolyn, and her sister Lauren Bessette. He was only 38 at the time. His anecdotes, hobbies, fashion sense, and dating life still captivate the public.
