Lexi Wood is setting the record straight about her alleged romance with Drake. To answer the question, no, she hasn't confirmed that she dated Drake.
The Summer House alum, who starred on the Bravo show for only one season, sat down for a podcast episode on Gia Giudice's Casual Chaos this Monday, July 21. There, she was probed about the rumors that she dated Drake.
“I need to know, are any of the Drake rumors true? I feel like they have to be. You’re from Canada and you’re so hot,” Gia said.
Lexi Wood responded:
“I think that being even but out there by anyone but me and him was insane. It definitely was not that person’s place to say anything. But I will say, he’s amazing and I’m really lucky to know him, and he’s so talented, so sweet, comes from such a great family, has great friends.”
Lexi Wood has never fully confirmed that she dated the Canadian rapper, though she did allude to it earlier this year when asked head-on by Andy Cohen about her "timeline" of romance.
“Can I take a sip and pass [on] this one?” she jokingly asked back in May.
She also referenced her ex Jesse Solomon's guest appearance on Chicks in the Office, where he said:
"When you’re going for a girl who’s dated Drake, you’re not going to get her by playing it cool.”
Lexi Wood weighed in:
“I was just sent it a billion times, and I was like, ‘First of all, why would you say that? Why would you say something about my… I think like everything that you enter, whether it’s a friendship, relationship, whatever, there’s just like you’re figuring it out, like you’re not going to go and like post it all over. I just felt like it was very distasteful.
Lexi Wood's romantic history explored
In April, during his Chicks in the Office podcast appearance, Jesse opened up about his romance with Lexi Wood and defended himself for falling in love with her the very first night they shared the house:
"Listen, the people are saying I came on strong, but I think Lexi matched my energy," he said. "When you're going for a girl who's, like, dated Drake, you're not going to get her by playing it cool. Like, my style is aggressive and I'm not going to be anybody but myself."
The model also spoke with The Daily Dish that same month, where she admitted to being charmed by all of the online interest in her personal life:
"It's so funny, because I am so, 'girl next door.' Like my personality and how I am with my grandparents, and my parents, and my friends is exactly how I am sitting in front of you today. So I think there's a part of me that people see themselves in, where they're like, 'Oh wait, I'm so like her.' So I would react the same way," she said at the time.
"I think having the big life that I have had is also something where people are like, 'Oh, wait, I like her, but she's had such a crazy life. I could have that,'" she continued. "And that's honestly been my biggest thing — I want people to connect to me, and I want people to feel like it is interesting. And that's cool. Let's talk about it."
In the past, Lexi Wood was also publicly linked to Brooklyn Beckham. She later admitted that they stopped talking after they dated for "longer than people think."
"He has a whole life, and I love that for him... I think I want nothing but the best for him. He's great and his family, yeah!" she said.
Lexi Wood was also linked to Presley Gerber, who is Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's son.
As for Drake, his alleged former lovers have always remained mum when it came to dishing details about their bond with him. Earlier this year, Issa Rae, Keke Palmer, and SZA sat down for an appearance on Hot Ones, where the latter was grilled about having dated Drake. However, instead of answering, she chose to eat a spicy wing.
“That’s why I said ‘f–k you’ in advance,” SZA joked when one of the fellow women were confused about her doing that. “I knew you were gonna do something that was so …”
