It appears Macaulay Culkin has kept his humor intact, the same trait he'd showcased in the Christmas cult classic Home Alone. Over three decades after the holiday movie debuted, the former child star is reminding people of his name, which actually hilariously complies with fans' wishes.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, the 45-year-old actor was asked about his "actual name" during the Q&A segment of "A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin," a 35th anniversary celebration of Home Alone. He answered:

"My name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin."

He explained that there was a poll back in 2018 where fans got to vote to change his middle name. It was announced on a November episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The following month, he took to social media to confirm that the public voted to replace his middle name, Carson, with Macaulay Culkin — and he did exactly that, legally, in 2019.

At the event, which was held at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, he said:

"The final vote was Macaulay Culkin. So my name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. If somebody comes up to me at the airport and says, 'Excuse me, are you Macaulay Culkin?' I can say, 'Well, Macaulay Culkin is my middle name.' I did it all for that one joke. And a bit on Fallon."

Culkin starred in Home Alone in 1990 and its sequel in 1992 as the famed kid character Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left alone in his family's massive house throughout the holidays while his parents and siblings fly overseas. The character drew laughter with his iconic gimmicks to protect their home alone from burglars.

Starring alongside him were Catherine O'Hara, who played Kate McCallister, Kevin's mother; and Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, who starred as the thieves Harry Lime and Marv Murchins.

Meanwhile, the actor revealed that the other appellations on the throwback poll were "Kieran" and "The McRib is Back." He reflected on the other choice, as it is the name of his brother, actor Kieran Culkin, who snagged an Oscar award last March for his performance in A Real Pain.

"Macaulay Kieran Culkin. That would be great. I love my brother. Between me and him we have exactly one Oscar."

In a separate interview, Culkin mentioned that his son, Dakota, with fiancée Brenda Song, mixes up his memories with what he saw of his father on screen. He narrated to E! News:

"He thinks he's Kevin. I'm like, 'Do you remember going down the stairs on the sled?' He's like, 'Mmhmm, yep. Sure do.' I'm like, 'Do you remember when he had yellow hair?' And he's like, 'Uh-huh, yep.'"

Culkin's son even thinks that he was the one who fended off the burglars. The Home Alone icon recalled:

"'You're a lying liar who lies. That was me!'"
