Did Nicola Peltz’s Friend Just Call the Beckham Family ‘Toxic’?

Model Nicola Peltz's friend Rebecca Faria shows that she also has her back, as she defends her and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, by calling the Beckham Family ‘Toxic.’

Brooklyn and Nicola held a vow renewal ceremony on August 2, in which the family was not invited. In the August 11 post of the celebration, Faria wrote a paragraph's worth of comment calling the Beckhams “toxic” and accusing them of putting out false stories about the couple.

Faria wrote, "I love seeing people who spend years in therapy over toxic family ties coming here and judging someone who actually had the guts to walk away. “Everyone’s been kissing the Beckhams’ ass forever, and Nicola was the first to stand up for her values since couldn’t care less about their fame or money!” Faria continued. “The moment they couldn’t control everything, they lost it and started planting fake press to make her look bad in the public eye.”

Rebecca further mentioned qualities about her friend, such as how she is “genuine, humble, and refuses to live in a fake world," along with the fact that Brooklyn is an adult who is responsible for his own decisions.

“Brooklyn is a grown man who can defend himself just fine! If he walked away, it’s because he knows exactly the environment he grew up in.”

But that wasn't the end, as when another user replied to her comment and called Peltz “a toxic, controlling narcissist hell-bent on turning him against his family and friends so she can have him all to herself," she doubled down and continued defending the 30-year-old.

Rebecca retorted, "Calling Nicola controlling is just lazy. She’s not holding anyone hostage. Brooklyn is a grown man who’s fully capable of making his own choices. He is an adult who’s perfectly aware of the life he wants, and he’s living it.”

The Beckham family feud

This all stems from the ongoing Beckham family feud, which keeps making headlines from time to time but can be traced back to the couple's wedding back in 2022. During the first dance at their wedding, singer Marc Anthony began performing for the couple; instead of inviting Nicola, he called out Victoria Beckham to join Brooklyn. To make matters worse, Victoria ends up doing the first dance with her son, leaving a reportedly teary-eyed Nicola.

A source close to the family shared,

“It wasn't appropriate. Nicola ran from the room crying. Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why."

The vow renewal ceremony took place three years after their April 2022 wedding.

“The event is about honoring the love and commitment they’ve built together over the years, and creating a memory that will stay with them forever,” a source told PEOPLE Magazine.

Since the wedding, things have been rocky for the entire family, making it difficult for even Brooklyn to maintain a relationship with his family.
