The UK Royal Family members, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Meghan Markle are cheering for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement.

On August 26, Swift and Kelce in a joint Instagram post announced their engagement. The post featured an image of Taylor's giant diamond ring with the caption:

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

A lot of celebrities have liked the post including the Prince and Princess of Wales' joint social media page and the Duchess of Sussex from her personal Instagram handle @meghan.

All the times the UK Royal Family have shown support to Taylor Swift

Members of the UK Royal family have publicly showed support to Taylor Swift over the years. Prince George sported a friendship bracelet from one of Taylor's Eras Tour concerts in an Instagram post for Father's Day. Prince William also spoke about the bracelet that Princess Charlotte helped make for the concert they attended at the Wembley Stadium.

Prince William along with his two kids also snapped a selfie with the popstar and Kelce behind the scenes. Travis' brother, Jason Kelce reflected on the incident in an episode of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, and said:

"I gotta say, Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great too. She was so f***ing adorable. Like, I cannot...."

Travis agreed and responded:

"She was a superstar."

To which Jason again said:

"I don't know. Maybe it's because I have three girls now.""

While speaking to People in November, 2024, Prince William said:

"This is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for. She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that I'd wear it and try not to lose while I was out there."

In August 2023, a source confirmed to People that the Duchess of Sussex attended Swift's concert at Los Angeles' SoFi stadium.

In 2013, Prince William got up on the stage to perform Livin' on a Prayer with Swift and Bon Jovi. The three were singing to an audience of 600 guests at the Winter Whites Gala in aid of the charity Centrepoint, in support of young homeless people at Kensington Palace in London. At the event Swift admitted that it was her first time playing at the Kensington Palace or any palace.
