While, Simone Ashley's role was not completely edited out from the final cut of F1: The Movie, the actress's lines were cut. Despite her role being cut out, the London actress showed up for the premiere on June 23. The film's European premiere was held at Cineworld Leicester Square in London. Simone was seen in a metallic-like gold ensemble, with a structured silhouette dress and a high neckline, coupled with a dramatic peplum at the waist.

F1's director, Joseph Kosinski, recently, while speaking to People Magazine, reasoned about removing Simone's scenes from the final cut. Kosinski noted that while the actress will appear on screen, she won't have any lines,

"It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use. There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn't make into the final cut."

He then went on to compliment Simone Ashley by saying,

"But Simone, she's an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again."

The film is scheduled to release on June 27, and will feature Brad Pitt as the lead, against rookie and rival Joshue Pearce, played by Damson Idris. Earlier, the actress had been photographed, filming F1 scenes and was also seen at a Miami event alongside costar Kerry Condon and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. While speaking to ELLE in early June, Simone said,

"I have a very small part, but I'm grateful to be in that movie...I got to experience many Grands Prix. I don't think I'll ever do anything like that again."
