What started as a sweet Instagram moment between Tiffany Haddish and Jason Lee quickly snowballed into full-blown baby speculation. Tiffany Haddish had uploaded a joint post with Lee showing her holding a baby while Lee stood with one hand on a stroller. The caption, “Cats out the bag ❤️,” left the internet reeling. In another shot, the pair admired the infant, who stared directly into the camera.
Days later, Tiffany Haddish used her guest-hosting gig on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to explain what really happened.
“There is a personal matter I feel must be addressed,” she shared.
Haddish then revealed, as cameras panned to Lee seated in the audience,
“It made everyone go a little crazy. For some reason, people saw this and thought I had a baby. Even my own relatives were asking.”
She further explained,
“The whole world has lost its mind over this beautiful baby, I went ahead and made it our God baby.”
Just to be clear, she followed up, saying,
“Jason, the offer is still on the table if you want to make a real baby.”
To which Lee quickly replied,
“And I’m still gay.”
Haddish ended her remarks with trademark humor:
“I did not have a baby but I am open to it. Wide open to it.”
