Tyson Ritter, the lead singer of The All-American Rejects rock band, is now making headlines again, but not because of his music. In a surprise twist, the 41-year-old singer revealed in a recent GQ interview that he’s starting an Onl*F*ns page.

As the news hits headlines, other details about Ritter are coming back to light, specifically his past romantic rumours of a brief fling with pop icon Taylor Swift.

Reports emerged in early 2013 that Tyson Ritter and Swift had a romantic fling. The two reportedly met backstage at the CMT Artists of the Year Awards in December 2011. The band All-American Rejects played at the event, and a collective conversation between Ritter and Swift developed a brief relationship.

"They met backstage [at the CMT Artists of the Year Awards] and Tyson started talking to her, and it just happened. They both got along great right away. They hung out a few times, went on a few dates and texted a lot," according to Hollywood Life, a source close to Tyson told Celebuzz.

Though their relationship was never as public as some of Taylor Swift’s other romances, it had been described as a “super casual” period that saw the pair spending time together at each other’s homes in Los Angeles.

But reportedly, the romance didn’t last long. According to Hollywood Life, his preference for a slow-paced, more private life may have turned Ritter off due to Swift's bright, public, fast-paced celebrity world.

"He just stopped calling. He kept it very quiet because he isn’t a very public kind of guy. He’s so private, and he wasn’t into the glitz and glamour and attention-seeking like Taylor was," the source said.

Apart from the alleged rumors from different sources the duo have never confirmed or denied the relationship publicly.

Prior to the Swift rumors, Tyson Ritter dated model Kim Smith for the better part of five years, from 2004 to 2009. The pair were frequently photographed at red carpet events and were among the prominent rock model couples of the early 2000s.

In 2013, Ritter wed Magic City and Cowboy Bebop actress Elena Satine. According to Shock Ya, the duo is said to have met through Twitter, now X. They are still together and have been married for more than a decade.

Now, Tyson Ritter is branching out into a new part of his life by signing up for Onl*F*ns, a platform that is often associated with adult content but is increasingly being used by artists as a direct path to reaching fans. For Ritter, this move is all about breaking convention and embracing freedom.

"The excitement behind this whole thing is like, ‘Where else can we be disruptive.' We’ve always been a band who’s got a tongue bursting through the cheek when it comes to our music. So why not, you know, do a little peen bursting through a zipper?" he quipped.

The account, which he notes may be offered at the price of “69 cents” for access, is said to contain uncensored content and behind-the-scenes happenings. Ritter said that the point is to shake things up.
