Amid testimony as part of Diddy's on-going s*x-trafficking trial, a new allegation, of assaulting a woman, has come up against him. Per People, the woman, who identified as Jane Doe, has claimed that the music mogul assaulted her in July 2001, and she has maintained silence until now.
The lawsuit was filed in the New York County Supreme Court on May 14, and also named other defendants including Bad Boy Entertainment.
New assault charges filed against Diddy as ongoing trial heats up
According to the filing, Jane Doe allegedly met Sean 'Diddy' Combs in an elevator alongside three friends in May 2001. Diddy reportedly asked for her number during the encounter, and she and her friends later met him at a club. Their second meeting occurred two days later where Combs allegedly attempted to kiss her, but she resisted, clearly indicating she was not interested.
After a couple more meetings "on or about July 31, 2001," Jane Doe took a friend to Combs’ studio, reportedly after another invitation. They eventually hit the road on a tour bus with "opened condom wrappers, used condoms, and women’s underwear," she claimed. Once they arrived at their destination, the Bowery Ballroom, Jane Doe has alleged that she and her friend were brought to a secluded and private area, where they were given drinks that made them feel "weird." From there, Jane Doe, her friend, Diddy, and two or three other people reportedly left in a black SUV for Combs' New York City apartment.
According to a People report on May 15, 2025:
“It is there that Doe claims that Combs "forcefully" led her inside his bedroom, "put his hand around her throat and said, 'I'm going to suck the life out of you.' " Doe claims that after he released her neck, he held her arm down… slid her underwear to the side, and forcefully engaged in v*gin*l int*rc**rse with her without her consent and against her will."
Jane Doe has claimed that she left directly after the alleged assault, and Combs allegedly tried to contact her roughly two days later.
Per People, the newly-filed lawsuit makes the claim that Jane Doe,
"suffered physical abuse, emotional abuse, trauma, injury, and psychological damage, as a result of the defendants’ intentional, negligent, and criminal actions."
She is steadfast in her request for a trial by jury and seeks full punitive damages.
