Jennifer Lawrence on shooting intimate scenes for Die My Love
Jennifer Lawrence recently appeared on the podcast Las Culturistas, where she spoke about shooting intimate scenes with Robert Pattinson for Die My Love. The actress said that she did not need an intimacy coordinator because he is not "pervy."
“We did dance lessons together, which was like team building exercises. In the end, it ended up being more helpful just for choreography of s*x scenes and fighting scenes.”
She added,
“We did not have one or maybe we did, but we didn’t really… I felt really safe with him,” she said. “He’s not pervy and he’s very in love with [partner] Suki [Waterhouse]. We mostly were talking about our kids and relationships so there wasn’t any weird, like, ‘Does he think I like him?'”
She further said that Pattinson was unlike other actors,
“If there was a little bit of that I would probably have an intimacy coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f*** them, and then the punishment starts. But he was not like that, for the record.”
For those unaware, An intimacy coordinator is a person present on set to help actors perform an intimate scene together.
The film is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz's 2012 novel of the same name. Lawrence has also produced it with Martin Scorsese, Justine Ciarrocchi, Molly Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill, as well as Andrea Calderwood. The production banners include Black Label Media, Excellent Cadaver and Sikelia Productions. Besides Lawrence and Pattinson, the film also stars LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek.
Die My Love will be released on November 7, 2025.
