Disney has officially shared the final trailer for Zootopia 2, the long-awaited sequel to its Oscar and Annie Award-winning hit from 2016. Agent Judy Hopps is back with her partner Nick Wilde, and the trailer is giving fans a brand new treat with a new song by Shakira, who plays Gazelle in the film.
The latest sneak peek at the film includes both familiar faces and some new claws and paws in the city, too. Ginnifer Goodwin is back as Judy, while Jason Bateman is making his return as Nick. Both of them are now full-time rookie detectives and are on the chase for a slippery new suspect: Gary De'Snake, a mysterious pit viper voiced by Oscar-winning Ke Huy Quan. His arrival comes with trouble in Zootopia as the city folk believed the town only had mammals. The case takes Judy and Nick to some shady corners of the city, as they test their partnership and go undercover as detectives. The trailers also hint at some subtle romance between the two.
Packed with dazzling new locations, reptilian intrigue, and an infectious soundtrack, Zootopia 2 promises to expand the world audiences fell in love with nearly a decade ago. The final trailer makes one thing clear: Zootopia has secrets left to uncover.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the plot synopsis for the film reads,
In Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Zootopia 2," detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
The sequel’s road to release has been long. Hints started as early as 2016, and after years of speculation, the project was confirmed on Disney’s 2023 earnings call. Nearly a decade later, fans will finally return to the metropolis that gave us sloths at the DMV and hustling weasels.
Zootopia 2 will be in theaters on November 26, 2025.
