Coco Gauff just won the French Open title and became the first American in a decade to do so. Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday, June 7, in the women’s singles final at Court Philippe-Chatrier to lift the 2025 French Open trophy. According to US Weekly, though Coco Gauff lost the first set to Sabalenka, she went on to win the next two sets, 6-2 and 6-4, respectively.

Coco Gauff, aka Cori Dionne Gauff, is a 21-year-old American Professional Tennis player who has won multiple titles: ten career singles and nine doubles, as stated by Wikipedia. According to People Magazine, Gauff, who spent her early years in Atlanta, has been seeing her boyfriend, who also grew up in Atlanta, since 2023. Gauff has not revealed her boyfriend's identity to the public and has been very private about her relationship.

Coco Gauff was born to a very athletically inclined family. Her mother, Candi, was a track and field athlete at Florida State University, and her father, Corey, was a college basketball player at Georgia State University. Her Wikipedia page further states that Coco began playing tennis when she was just six.

According to People Magazine, in 2023, Coco Gauff shared with reporters after the US Open that her boyfriend helped her calm down the night before the US Open finals.

"Last night, I started a little bit, but honestly, I just called my boyfriend, and I told him let's talk until it's time to go to sleep so we spoke until 1:00 a.m. and then I went to sleep.”
