Celebrated actress Eva Green is all set to join the third season of the hit horror-comedy series Wednesday. Set to be a series regular and portray the role of Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addam's sister, the fans of the show finally have an answer to their questions after being given a glimpse into the show's second season finale.

It is to be noted that this is the first major casting after a third season was greenlit earlier this year. Prior to her entry, Lady Gaga's Rosaline Rotwood was the fans' foremost guess in who could possible be the titular character's aunt.

Green’s own family is just as fascinating—if not more so—than the one she’s joining onscreen. Born to French actress Marlène Jobert, Eva Green has a fraternal twin sister, Joy.

Eva Green's Twin Sister

Born to actress Marlène Jobert and dentist Walter Green, Eva and Joy are fraternal twins, ie. they are non-identical. In a 2020 conversation with Town and Country magazine, Green opened up,

“We became close with age – we were too different as children. Now we really get on; we are still very different, but we kind of complete each other.”

She further revealed the differences in their personalities and preferences, namely her fondness for cinemas. She explained,

“I used to go on my own, my sister wasn’t interested.”

A business school graduate, Joy is settled in Italy with her husband, who is a count. Together they co-run a vinyard. Speaking with W Magazine about Joy, Eva had said,

“She's not at all in the business, she lives in Italy, she's married to an Italian count, she's blonde. She's the other me, the happy me!”

Though the sisters were both blode and look identical in their childhood photos, it was Eva who decided to 'look different' by dyeing her hair. She says,

“I spent five hours at the hairdresser. It’s who I am, I feel more 'me.'”

Green's last outing was her 2024 film Dirty Angels which was critically panned for it's 'uninspired' action sequences and slow pace. The third season of Wednesday is speculated to have a summer 2027 release.
