Dwayne Johnson shares a new video as Jumanji 3 begins filming

Jumanji 3 is the forthcoming film in the adventure comedy genre. Directed by Jake Kasdan, this yet-to-be-titled film is a sequel to 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level. Kasdan has also written the script with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. Sony Pictures Releasing will be releasing it on December 11, 2026.

Dwayne Johnson is reprising his role as Dr. Xander Bravestone, aka Smolder, in the film. The wrestler-turned-actor recently took to Instagram to share a new video as he began shooting for the film.

Jumanji 3 is the upcoming film of Dwayne Johnson. The former WWE star took to Instagram on November 19 and shared a video of himself as he began shooting for the film. The video features The Rock riding a golf cart inside a Hollywood set. He then shows a thing he's wearing on his neck. It's the same necklace Robin Williams wore in the 1995 Jumanji, where the late actor played the role of Alan Parrish.

Pointing towards the necklace, Johnson said:

"As you see, little easter egg of Doctor Bravestone. This is the dice from the original Jumanji with Robin Williams as a show of respect...and a way of honoring Robin and this entire franchise with the way it started as we film our very last Jumanji."

The video ends with Johnson getting out of the cart to shoot for Jumanji 3. He captioned the video as "This one’s for you, Robin."
