50 Cent recently took to Instagram to post a video in which Ebro Darden claimed that Cent ruined the New York hip-hop scene. While reacting to Ebro's comments, Cent said that he had gotten Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning canceled.

Ebro in the video can be seen saying,

"I told 50 he ruined New York hip-hop. He spun it back around on me, talking about how I ruined New York hip-hop, and then all of his fans and fanatics ran with that. But first, it was 50 Cent who ruined New York hip-hop."
"Y'all know nobody wanted to work together. People who was already popping in the city, everybody was hemming and hawing and soft-shoeing because nobody wanted to work together because 50 Cent was so popping. That's where that narrative comes from."

Cent captioned the video saying,

"That's why I put a word in to have your show taken off the air, you can't just go around saying nasty things about people."

This comes after Ebro Darden, in an X post made on Friday, claimed that his morning show has been shut down. While at the time Ebro didn't reveal the reasons behind shutting it down, he later claimed in a video that the bosses at Hot 97 wanted to silence him because he's supposedly anti-Netanyahu and anti-government.

More about Ebro Darden and 50 Cent's feud

Ebro Darden's recent comment on 50 Cent ruining the NY hip-hop scene is not the first time he has accused the fellow rapper. In February 2016, Ebro Darden said that 50 Cent's beef with Ja Rule in 2002 ruined the New York hip-hop scene.

Darden said,

"When 50 and Ja didn't want to work together and people was on that side, it made other people from other places not also want to do music with those artists because they didn't want probkems."

Cent, at the time, took to Instagram to clap back on the allegations. The rapper called out the Program Director of Hot 97 with a photo of Darden on his post and said,

"This guy said I destroyed New York hip-hop because I didn't work with New York artist, to cover up he was the program director that wouldn't play their records. SMH #EFFENVODKA"

The two's feud had continued over the years, and in October 2018, Ebro claimed that the rapper is not welcome at Hot 97 or Summer Jam, citing incidents from 2004 and 2014.
