Reneé Rapp is going viral once again, not for her songs or interviews but for her choices on a blind ranking of her favorite movies with Viral Interviews. The Mean Girls star and rising pop sensation had ranked Twilight surprisingly pretty high on her list. The internet had a field day on social media. A fan had commented:
“Even the people IN Twilight didn’t like it as much as her.”
The incident occurs during a hectic year for Rapp. The 25-year-old is kick-starting her tour, Bite Me Tour, tonight on 24 September 2025 in Morrison, Colorado, at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The tour is her third headlining run after the Snow Hard Feelings Tour. This is in support of her sophomore album, Bite Me, which was released on August 1 by Interscope Records.
Reneé Rapp will have 27 performances as she tours across North America and Europe. In North America, she will be performing first in Colorado, then move on to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, and then ending her North American tour on 29 October 2025. She will be appearing with Ravyn Lenae and Syd on the tour.
Her European tour starts and ends in March next year. The cities she will be performing in include Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the U.K., with opening acts from British artist Absolutely, who is RAYE's sister and the daughter of producer Paul Keen.
On the 7 August 2025 episode, she had gone viral after confessing she didn't know who Joe Rogan was in a Call Her Daddy podcast episode and asked:
"Who the f** is Joe Rogan?"
The show's host, Alex Cooper, laughingly questioned her about her knowledge of the UFC and Fear Factor. Reneé Rapp even questioned if Joe Rogan is a fighter, claiming she had no idea what Fear Factor was. When they googled who Joe Rogan was, she was shocked to learn that they are the same height.
Gen Z viewers enjoyed her interview, praising her relatability.
In July, in an interview with the BBC, the 25-year-old artist said that she had no desire to provide "fluffy answers":
"I got on a phone call years ago where they were telling us how to answer certain kinds of question, and what not to say and I just remember being like, 'This feels so boring to me'. I think it's a skill to be able to give a thought-out, fluffy answer. It's just not something that I want."
She added:
"Good interviews, to me, are like a conversation that illustrates how you get on with the other person... or you don't. And that's fun. That's something I want to watch."
Netizens react to Reneé Rapp's blind ranking of her favorite films
The Mean Girls star's blind ranking of her favorite films with Viral Interviews went viral and was the talk of the internet. A user commented:
“Even the people IN Twilight didn’t like it as much as her”
Following this, more users chimed in, and another user commented:
"She’s real as f*ck cuz i haven’t seen half the movies on that list either."
Another added:
"Actor that doesn’t watch anything lmfaoooo she’s hilarious."
A user was having the time of their life laughing at Reneé Rapp:
"I Love How all the “acclaimed movies” are the ones she has never seen. We stan and movie uncultured queen."
Some users couldn't help but highlight the irony as Reneé Rapp specified the year and picked the original:
"The 2024 mean girls shade…"
While another teased:
"That went on way too long. Also how is she a theatre kid but doesn’t pick a single musical movie??"
While another fan had a blunt reaction:
"Her taste is terrible no shade."
One fan suggested that there was a generational gap:
"When she said certain movies had more cultural impact over films that actually did..tells me she's too young and needs to watch more films."
Lastly, one user summed it up with a lighthearted joke:
"Put this girl in front of a screen asap."
Reneé Rapp is making a name for herself as an actress, singer, and vocalist with her breakthrough performance as the new Regina George in the Mean Girls musical, her first album Snow Angel (2023), and now Bite Me, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Her blind ranking moment with Twilight shows that she is a total Gen Z and doesn't take anything seriously. Reneé Rapp will soon be seen touring North America.
