"Everybody knew we was divorced but us": Swizz Beatz quashes divorce rumors as he drops goofy dance clip with wife Alicia Keys

The circulating rumors about Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys' divorce have finally been put to rest. After weeks of rumors that the musical couple was divorcing after 15 years of being married, the DJ, record producer, and art connoisseur uploaded a post of the two having a good time and commented as well on a repost of the same.

He commented:

"Everybody knew we was divorced but us."

A YouTube channel by the name of MissTee uploaded a video that Swizz Beatz had cheated on Keys and fathered a kid outside of their relationship in late July, citing social media, the rumors did not take long to spread on social media, with users on TikTok and Instagram coming up with their own speculations. Some even alleged that the hitmaker of Girl on Fire was getting ready to file for divorce.

According to an Instagram user @nosleep_411, Alicia was getting ready to file for divorce. It was only after their 15th anniversary that the whole world found out that nothing went wrong between the two, as they both wished each other well on social media.

Swizz even uploaded a carousel of posts on Instagram of Alicia and the kids on August 5 with the caption:

“♥️🙌🏽🧿☀️☮️ 🙏🏽 Stay in your own Zone…….”

Media Take Out covered the rumors and helped prove that it was all rumors. According to them:

“Multiple people in the couple’s circle told us that Alicia and Swizz are not only still together, they’re happier than ever. There was no paternity test, no secret baby, no dramatic divorce plans.”

Swizz Beatz buried the rumors with humor

Swizz Beatz uploaded a video of himself and his wife, Alicia Keys, dancing to upbeat Brazilian beats. Alicia donned a basketball jersey with her name on the back as Beatz wore an oversized boxy shirt. The couple seems to be having the time of their lives.

Swizz Beatz captioned the video:

"#whiteside dance lessons 101 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨🤣🤣🤣 Boooooonnnnndaaaaaaaaaaaaa🤣🤣🤣 virgo season 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Who should I put on this Beat ????????????"

Hours later, the video post was reshared by The Shade Room, and Swizz Beatz took no time to comment on the reshare:

"Everybody knew we was Divorced but us 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 We found out on our 15yr anniversary vacation 😮‍💨😅🤣🤣 People rather believe fake gossip instead of the truth because they're miserable we have nothing to do with that !!! Bless up !! Whose should I put on this Beat ???? BooonnnDaaaaaaaaaa🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷."

The humorous comment quickly shut down all the chitter-chatter that was spreading around about the couple's love life. Swizz Beatz's comment has also been pinned.

Alicia Keys focuses on her family and music

While the internet has been busy with rumors, Alicia Keys paid no heed to them as she fully focused on her family and music. In July, she shared pictures from a "mom and son date night" with her 14-year-old son, Egypt, on social media in August. The carousel included the mother-son duo having dinner together, as Keys wrote:

"Mom-son date night makes me so happy! Watching you grow into such a brilliant, kind, determined, young soul takes my breath away. I’m beyond proud of the young king you’re becoming💜💜."

Keys was recently awarded the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammys, where she was joined by her husband and children. She even took her younger son, Genesis, with her on stage to accept it.

Alicia has also been busy mentoring and collaborating with R&B star Coco Jones. She recently worked on a new version of "Other Side of Love" for the deluxe version of Jones' album Why Not More? (MORE!).

Jones told Variety that the collaboration with Keys started with a simple dinner:

"Honestly, I cannot tell you exactly how we connected because me and Alicia, we’ve seen each other in passing multiple times and it’s always been amazing vibes. But, to me, out of the blue."

She added:

"I was told that Alicia wanted to talk to me, and I’m always looking for any type of mentor or wisdom or experience to help me. I’ll take anything I can get. So I was like, hell yeah. But I didn’t know that was going to lead to us working together. I was just happy to sit down over dinner and ask questions. We just hit it off really well and I asked her if she’d be down to work on something, and we talked about “Other Side of Love” and doing a remix and she really gravitated towards the record."
