‘Fantastic Four’ star Vanessa Kirby welcomes her first child with Paul Rabil

Fantastic Four and The Crown actress Vanessa Kirby has reportedly welcomed her first child with sports executive Paul Rabil. The latter took to Instagram on October 19 and broke the news with a carousel of heartfelt photos, without revealing the gender or the child's name.

Vanessa Kirby first revealed her pregnancy during the promotions of The Fantastic Four: First Steps in May 2025. According to the news outlets, Vanessa and Paul have reportedly been together since 2022 and are due to tie the knot.

Paul took to his Instagram to reveal his experience of becoming a parent, attaching multiple images, including that of Vanessa and their child, a pair of lacrosse racquets, and a quote from Charlie Mackesy's book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse.

He penned an emotional note in the caption,

"I’m learning that becoming a parent slows you down and wakes you up at the same time. That I’m really grateful for everyone’s health, that I get to wake up everyday to mum’s enormous love, and that we get to have you in our lives now."

He added,

"For your first cradle stick. It’ll hold many stories and blessings. Likely broken windows too. Balls are allowed in the house."

Actress Vanessa Kirby and former Lacrosse professional player Paul Rabil have commenced a new chapter in their lives. The duo have kept details of their lives largely private, but it has been reported that they started dating in 2022.

In an exclusive interview for People, Vanessa Kirby revealed how her role in Fantastic Four had potentially prepared her for motherhood. The BAFTA Award winner poured praise on the character and noted,

"She was absolutely a mother, and of course, in the comics, that's so definitively her. But she's also been a team member that defends, that goes up against great threats."

Coincidentally, the singer was able to weave the character of the pregnant Sue Storm/Invisible Woman into her own and added,

"I literally had the lived experience of somebody who was doing this incredibly sacred thing and fulfilling what she needed to do at the same time as a woman and a team member, and that changed me."

Vanessa Kirby described her pregnancy "as crazy timing" and yet one role that added another dimension to her life.
