He said that one day after the shoot for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning wrapped up earlier, Cruise suggested they go feed sharks. He said,

"We went and got in a cage, and we fed sharks for the rest of the afternoon."

Simon Pegg talks about his shooting experience with Cruise for Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning

Simon Pegg recently spoke to Cinemablend, where he revealed his day with Tom Cruise during Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning. He said,

"I think the most Tom Cruise-y day of [the film], we were in South Africa. We were shooting the scene when the truck is driving up to the Doomsday vault, and there was a helicopter behind us. It was you know, following us. Tarzan actually said, hilariously, 'wow, its like we're in a movie' and I said, Tarzan, we are in a movie!' But we got to the top and then we get out of the car, jump in the helicopter."

Pegg said that they would do the action sequences for Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning over and over again.

"Tom would fly us back to Number Ones so we could do the shot again, and Tom would fly through this canyon, you know, with either side of us showing off doing aerobatics in this helicopter with me, Hayley, Pom and Tarzan in the back. We'd jump out, do it again."

The actor further revealed that one day after the shoot, Cruise asked everyone to go for shark diving.

"We got the shot early in the end and Tom said, 'Hey why don't we go shark diving?' So Haley, Pom, Tarzan and me were like, 'Okay, sure. Why not.'"

After that, all of them were given a breakdown on how to stay safe and ended up feeding sharks in the afternoon.

"So we get back in the helicopter with Tom, he flew us out to the coast, we had a quick tutorial on how not to get eaten and then we went and got in a cage, and we fed sharks for the rest of the afternoon."

Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning is produced by Cruise and McQuarrie, while the script is by McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen. It focuses on Hunt's attempt to stop a rogue artificial intelligence called Entity from triggering a nuclear war. The film grossed around $455 million at the box office.
