First look of Jumanji 3 revealed as the film begins production

Get ready for another round of Jumanji's adventure as the first look at Jumanji 3 has just dropped. Sony Pictures exclusively shared a photo of Dwayne Johnson's Dr. Xander 'Smolder' Bravestone, Karen Gillan's Ruby Roundhouse, Kevin Hart's Franklin 'Mouse' Finbar, and Jack Black's Professor Sheldon 'Shelly' Oberon in the middle of a street as they strike a candid pose and fans are already talking about the adventures that Jumanji 3 will hold.

Many people have speculated that the image could mean that the team is out of the board game, considering the background. Others have noted that it could simply be behind-the-scenes image. Whatever it is, the excitement is all alive and it would be interesting to see what turn the game takes this time.

Last week Dwayne Johnson shared photos from the film's table read with a heartfelt caption where he wrote,

"Officially kicking off production of JUMANJI, at our cast table read in Los Angeles - where we will film as well. What a massive, fun, heartfelt adventure. Feels emotionally appropriate for our beloved JUMANJI franchise to end on this beautiful grace note of our final film. Amazing to get the whole gang back together, and our jaws were hurting from laughing so hard. We all talked about how much we’ve missed this kinda joy and fun. Let’s make a good one."

He followed it up with an iconic quote from the film,

“…in order for you to end the game, you must save Jumanji and call out its name…”

The untitled sequel to Jumanji: The Next Level is officially on the way, and it is set to close out the entire Jumanji franchise. This new chapter brings the avatars you know and love into the spotlight again. Dwayne Johnson steps back into Dr. Xander “Smolder” Bravestone, Jack Black returns as Professor Shelly Oberon, Kevin Hart is once again Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, and Karen Gillan resumes her role as Ruby Roundhouse. Nick Jonas comes back as Jefferson “Seaplane” McDonough, and Awkwafina returns as Ming Fleetfoot.

The real world crew, which includes Alex Wolff as Spencer Gilpin, Morgan Turner as Martha Kaply, Ser’Darius Blain as Anthony Johnson, and Madison Iseman as Bethany Walker, is also back for Jumanji 3. Rhys Darby continues as Nigel Billingsley, Marin Hinkle returns as Janice Gilpin, Bebe Neuwirth steps back in as Nora Shepherd, and Lamorne Morris appears again as the Heater Repair Man.

Not much is known as of now about the film's core details, but with the original cast returning, we can strap ourselves in for more action and comedy.

Filming began on November 11, 2025, in Los Angeles, with Ben Davis serving as cinematographer.
