Nintendo has finally dropped the first official photos of Link and Zelda from their upcoming live-action film The Legend of Zelda, as first looks at both the protagonists were revealed on the Nintendo Today app. Fans got to see Benjamin Evan Ainsworth taking on Link's role while Bo Bragason appeared donned up as Zelda against the backdrop of Hyrule. Production on the film has already started, which Nintendo announced after fans spotted filming taking place in New Zealand.Earlier both the actors were seen in a leaked clip that featured them alongside another person in a forest. Fans are now speculating that Dichen Lachman is playing the role of Impa, although Nintendo has not confirmed anything as of now. The new photos show Zelda wearing blue robes that look like they were inspired by her Breath of The Wind era, while Link wore a dark green outfit, a clear nod to his Twilight Princess appearance.Director Wes Ball has previously talked about The Legend of Zelda and his vision, as he told Entertainment Weekly in an interview,“It’s going to be awesome. My whole life has led up to this moment. I grew up on Zelda and it is the most important property, I think, that’s untapped IP, if you will. So we very much are working hard to do something. We’re not just trying to do it because we can. We want to make something really special.”With the first images out, fans are now more excited than ever to see what Nintendo and Ball have cooked up for the beloved game.
