First promotional art for Avengers: Doomsday reveals the costume for all the new superheros

Production on Avengers: Doomsday has officially wrapped, but Marvel fans don't have to wait for a trailer to get their first taste of what's coming. Thanks to a wrap gift shared online by SFX and makeup artist Gi Ponci Mua, we may already have our clearest look yet at the film's enormous roster of heroes and villains.

The gift bag, styled like a collage of character portraits, reveals a line-up that spans the MCU's legacy and its future. The Fantastic Four appear with new suits while Thor is back to his Avengers: Infinity War-era short hair. The X-Men are finally getting comic-accurate looks with Cyclops in his classic blue-and-yellow outfit with red visor, Beast in full fur, Nightcrawler in his traditional uniform, and Mystique in her iconic white costume.

Apart from that, fans also spotted updated designs for Namor, who is now sporting a black vest and M'Baku accompanying him. Other returning faces include Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sam Wilson as Captain America, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Loki, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Gambit, Ghost, and looming over them all is Doctor Doom, marking his first proper appearance in the MCU.

A surprising addition seems to be Franklin Richards, who seems to have grown now, though some speculate it could be Valeria Richards. Either way, we already know Franklin will be an important part of Avengers: Doomsday, as he is seen with Doctor Doom in the post-credits scene from The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Avengers: Doomsday marks the long-awaited return of Earth's mightiest heroes to the big screen. Arriving seven years after Avengers: Endgame, the film unites nearly every corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside legacy characters from Fox's X-Men films

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the duo who reshaped the franchise with the Infinity Saga, the film is being written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. Although exact plot details have not been revealed yet, we do know that the Avengers and the New Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men will ally against a new threat: Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

The cast is a staggering ensemble of every major Marvel star fans have waited to see more of on screen, including Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr. Many have speculated that Marvel may have more surprise additions in their bag, but for now, even this star-studded roster is enough to indicate the large-scale premise of Avengers: Doomsday.
