The first one received a warning of “strong violent content, bloody images, and language.” But the sequel warning omits words like 'strong' and 'bloody images.'

Jason Blum, who co-produced Five Nights at Freddy's 2 with Scott Cawthon, addressed the first film’s criticism at CCXP, noting that they have learned from the experience.

“We took lots of criticism, saying it was not scary, lacked blood or strong scenes. We decided to implement all that in the sequel."
