Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is not happy with the NFL's Super Bowl Halftime show performer for the February 2026 halftime. Danica, while responding to an X post about the Puerto Rican artist, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, said:

"Oh fun. No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America's highest rated television events of the year....not just for sports."

Danica Patrick also allegedly reposted a wild claim that said Bad Bunny is a "demonic Marxist."

Danica Patrick receives backlash over comments

Danica Patrick's post caught attention on the internet. While some users believe that Spanish is the second most popular language in the US, with over 13% Spanish speakers, others agreed with Patrick.

An X user (@SD4SCIII) lashed out:

"What are you gonna do about it? Threaten to drive nascar again?"

Another user (@Rashwak001) called out Danica for having beliefs from the 1950s,

"So English-only at the Super Bowl now? 😂 America’s literally built on cultures colliding. if Danica can’t handle a Spanish song at halftime, maybe the problem isn’t Bad Bunny, it’s her worldview stuck in 1950."

Another user (@OrchidNYC) argued that the Super Bowl is more about the music and the energy than languages:

"Isn't it about the music and the energy? Take any message you want and leave the rest. The entire globe listens to American music often without understanding English. The world will not only survive this but be better off from it."

Another user (@LadyLibertyinAZ) criticized the NFL and asked users to turn it off,

"Why do people even still watch the NFL? I turned it off when Kaepperknick took a knee and never looked back. This is just reason 1,756 on why to Turn. It. Off!!!"

Another accused Nthe FL of leaning towards leftist beliefs.

"This guy needs to be barred from performing....Does NFL have any standards ? They walk the fence for years & now they've fallen off, far left"

Earlier this week, Apple Music, the NFL, and Roc Nation announced that Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny would headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show at Levi's Stadium on February 8, 2026.
