The Georgia Film Critics Association Awards, GAFCA, unveiled their nominees for this year’s awards. The winners for the Georgia Film Critics Association Awards are set to be announced on December 27.

For those unaware, the Georgia Film Critics Association was formed in 2011 to promote the film industry and film criticism in Georgia.

While critics groups are prevalent in many parts of the country, the Georgia Film Critics Association Awards became the first of its kind to be based solely in the state of Georgia. The members of GAFCA include reviews from press, print, radio, television, and online media.

Several movies, such as Weapons, One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, and Sentimental Value, were nominated for the Georgia Film Critics Association Awards this year.
