Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd have graduated from teammates to being a couple!

Basketball player Bueckers confirmed that she is dating her teammate just this month, though People Magazine has reported that they have been friends for years. They played competitive basketball together and were even on the same team at the University of Connecticut for four seasons.

During a recent interview with WAG Talk, a social media channel that sheds light on the "wives and girlfriends" of professional athletes, Bueckers was probed about her "D1 girlfriend." It was only at the end of the segment that the WNBA star confirmed she was dating Fudd.

Although Bueckers recently confirmed her relationship, those chronically online were quick to notice the two holding hands and sporting matching necklaces after a game in July. They even pointed out the way the Bueckers reacted to pictures of Fudd at the ESPY ceremony.

However, the most glaring evidence came last month, when Fudd shared a mirror selfie of herself. Fans were quick to notice her phone case, which read: "Paige Bueckers' girlfriend."

As of this writing, it is unclear when they started dating. However, during her recent interview, Paige Bueckers affirmed that she trusted her girlfriend with making a “last-second shot” to save her if “her life was on the line.” She also credited her girlfriend with choosing her sneakers for all of her games.

In her personal life, Fudd credits her parents for pushing her into the sport, as both of them were also star athletes, People Magazine has reported.

"They’re the reason I'm playing basketball," she told reporters after the win at the 2025 National Championship. "They taught me most of the things I know, so shout-out Mom and Dad."

Page Six has reported that Paige Bueckers earned her degree from UConn in May 2024 and got drafted for the WNBA the following year, where she began playing for the Dallas Wings. As for Fudd, she graduated in 2024 as well, though she is currently getting her MBA at the same university. She will make a comeback for the last season of eligibility in the 2025-26 season.
