Hailey Bieber, model and RHODE founder, recently opened up about her personal challenges, pregnancy, and postpartum life in an interview with Vogue Italia. She had Jack Blues Bieber, whom she welcomed with Justin Bieber in August 2024.

However, the road to Baby Jack's birth was not easy. Hailey openly acknowledged that although she had always wanted to have children, the reality was totally different; it was a surprise and a mix of complex emotions.
In August's issue of Vogue Italia, Hailey revealed:
"The pregnancy was hard for me to accept, it was a surprise and you have to deal with so many emotions. You realize that your life will never be the same again, yes, it changes in a positive way, but it will never be the same again."
She added:
"It was a huge challenge for me, mentally."
Talking about how motherhood has changed her and brought her close to her husband, Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber said:
"Suddenly, your partner sees you as a goddess, a superhero... Or at least, that's how it was for me."
Hailey opened up more about the challenges she had to endure with her pregnancy. Her doctors had to induce labor due to an early amniotic fluid leak that occurred just a few days before her due date.
Hailey called it the most physically taxing experience she had ever had.
“Giving birth was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
She had undergone labour for 18 hours, but when 18-pound Jack was born, her struggles felt easy. Hailey Bieber also talked about the time that followed her medically induced labor and the postpartum haemorrhage she experienced.
She was scared of the procedure, but she had complete faith in her doctor:
“I had complete faith in my doctor but I was bleeding a lot, and people die, and that’s a thought that crosses your mind.”
She added:
“Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life.”
According to Hailey, the experience offered her a fresh outlook on life and on things that actually mattered. She started to pay more attention to her son and less attention to the outer world. Speaking about this, she said:
"You start to worry less about many things. You think, 'I don't have time, I don't have enough energy."
She added:
"He's [Jack] my priority. He's the most important thing to me. It's been the best teacher I've ever had. The best in my marriage, too. It makes you see your partner in such a different way."
Hailey Bieber's mental health, online scrutiny, and divorce rumors
Since having a child, Hailey has had to cope with a surge of rumors about her marriage, a subject that keeps cropping up on social media. She said:
“Going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and ‘They’re this’ and ‘They’re not happy’, it is such a mindf*ck. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live."
Hailey Bieber said she finds comfort in her everyday life away from all the social media buzz, with new rumors every day.
"I have a real life. It's the one I share with my wonderful family, with my friends, with the people who know me and love me."
Hailey added that she loves to spend time in the "sanctuary," which is their Palm Springs Home, and that she likes to cook and try out different foods for Baby Jack.
She said:
“It’s where my heart is for sure.”
