As months have gone by post the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez, new information on singer D4vd continues to be unearthed. In an interesting turn of events, an anonymous childhood friend of the singer, legally known as David Anthony Burke, had come out describing him as 'completely normal' and 'calm' during his formative years.

In an interaction with The Mirror US he revealed (sic),

“I used to play video games with D4vd; he was actually a really insane player. He used to play Call of Duty, 2K, and a few others.”

The friend continued to describe the disgraced musician, as having a 'sharp mind' with 'no signs of being unstable',

“We’d stay online for hours at a time in large video game lobbies, shooting the sh*t. He was definitely calm and quiet, but he was smart and completely normal.”

However, he pointed out that Burke, often hung out with an 'interesting' crowd (sic),

“What I will say about him is that he was always surrounded by weird and odd people...”

Burke has been under investigation following the discovery of Rivas-Hernandez’s disfigured and dismembered body inside his vehicle, in Hollywood.

The D4vd Story so far

Rivas-Hernandez’s body was discovered merely days before her what would've been her 15th birthday. However, the competent authorities are yet to announce the official cause of death and the suspected individuals. Interestingly, the minor has been reported missing since April 2024.

While the local community started a GoFundMe campaign in her memory, her family was spotted returning to normalcy in recent months. The fundraiser has raised $24,843 out of its goal of $28,000, totalling from over a thousand donations.

Earlier last month, however, the LA Police Department petitioned against the release of the autopsy report citing threats of 'jeopardising' the ongoing homicide investigation. Interestingly, Burke is reportedly seen as a suspect till now. Burke's car, a 2023 Tesla Model Y, has reportedly sustained damages during the towing. D4vd was out of state when the discovery took place.

Oddly, according to Google's search data, D4vd ranks among the top five most-searched people of 2025. The Romantic Homicide crooner was also the most-searched musician this year.
