DDG is under fire after a video clip of his stream went viral, in which the rapper kicked out another streamer for s*xually objectifying his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his kid, Halle Bailey. As the video clip went viral, DDG started receiving criticism from users on the internet.
A user commented:
“He didn’t protect her…he protected his ego.”
In the heavily circulated video clip, DDG was among other streamers and was interacting with them. In the video clip, DDG and the streamer were engaging in a conversation when the latter showed bundles of cash on the camera and said,
"You been doing this sh*t since I was in pampers. You used to have money."
To which DDG replied:
"You in you're twenties, I was a millionaire by then."
After which, the streamer pointed out the fact that he didn't blow money and then proceeded to shout:
"F*ck Halle! B*tch a** n****...you a h*e!"
And then proceeded to sing and shout:
"Imma beat that p***** up"
multiple times. This enraged DDG, following which he threatened to kick him out of the stream. He then made a call, and the streamer was kicked out of the stream.
The internet's reaction to DDG kicking out a streamer for s*xually objectifying Halle Bailey
After a viral incident in which rapper and streamer DDG kicked out a streamer in the middle of a video after the person reportedly made a sexually objectifying remark about Halle Bailey, the internet is in flames.
A user commented that the rapper's rage was performative, which was echoed by several others.
"He didn't protect her...he protected his ego."

Another added:
"He protected his ego! Let's not get it confused now. He didn't protect her."

Many users think the incident sprang from the rapper's past of openly allowing contempt for Halle to continue unchecked. A user remarked:
"DDG started the disrespect. The fans will follow."

Another comment read:
"See this happened because he been allowing his friends to talk bad about her regarding their custody issues. So they feel like they can disrespect her any kind of way now. Smh."

Another user chimed in:
"That's extremely weird of ole dude, but DDG allowed them to feel comfortable openly disrespecting her with his internet antics."

Some people questioned the rapper's defense's timing and tone, arguing that it was more about damage control than justice in light of his custody battle. A user commented:
"He doing any and everything atp to keep him shining. Like I said this was all to make her look bad and for him to look good. Fight amongst your keyboards. Cuz I said what I said."

Others took advantage of the occasion to make more general cautions about selecting partners and co-parents carefully, arguing that Halle Bailey's predicament should serve as a lesson to women worldwide. A user warned:
"Be careful who you procreate with, it's a life sentence."

Another echoed:
"And this ladies and gentlemen, is why you have to choose the father of your children wisely."

Inside DDG and Halle Bailey's custody fight over baby Halo

This June, the custody battle between the rapper and the actress took a new turn when both filed opposing court filings involving their 18-month-old son, Halo. Citing worries about Halle's emotional and mental health, DDG sought a domestic violence restraining order and tried to prevent her from taking their kid to Italy, according to PEOPLE.
The rapper's request was rejected, and Halle was able to maintain sole legal and physical custody and go overseas for work, while he was given a partial restraining order in his favor.
In a stirring reply, Halle said she has been receiving medical treatment and is still a very capable mother, despite acknowledging her battles with postpartum depression and suicidal thoughts. She claimed that DDG had distorted her history of mental illness and used private matters as a weapon to influence the court proceedings and damage her reputation. A full custody hearing will take place this month on June 24.
