Late night television hosts, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, Late Night star Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live! host Jimmy Kimmel showcased a united front against US President Donald Trump in a social media post.

The social media post, which features all three on stage, was captioned, "Hi Donald!" This comes after Colbert was a guest on the September 30 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Meyers made a surprise appearance during the show's taping.

Their union comes after Donald Trump publicly criticized all three hosts after they criticized Charlie Kirk post his death. The three have also been vocal critics of Trump and his presidency. Most recently, Kimmel returned to his ABC show on September 23, after he was suspended for nearly a week for his comments on Kirk.

How did late night hosts show support for Jimmy Kimmel after suspension?

Jimmy Kimmel was put on indefinite suspension by ABC after his comments on Charlie Kirk caught attention and criticism from the Trump administration. Late night hosts Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, and more showed support to Kimmel following his suspension.

Colbert began his show with the words,

"Welcome, one and all, to The Late Show. I'm your host Stephen Colbert but tonight we are all Jimmy Kimmel."

Colbert called Kimmel's suspension "blatant censorship" and called Trump an "autocrat." Colbert also mentioned that he stands with Kimmel and his staff and criticized Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr.

Comedy Central's The Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, opened his show with a new intro,

"From Comedy Central, it's the all new, government approved Daily Show with your patriotically obedient host, Jon Stewart."

Stewart's show was satirical where he praised Trump as America's "great father." The segment ended with Stewart and his co-hosts coming together to sing,

"Oh Donald, we pledge to thee our word, from the hottest country in the world."

Seth Meyers, on his NBC show, also took a satirical stance where he said that he "always admired and respected Mr. Trump" and called him a "visionary, an innovator, a great president, and an even better golfer."

Meyers highlighted that Trump, who "promised to end government censorship and bring back free speech," is now "doing the opposite."

He ended his show by showing support to Kimmel, whom he called his "friend." At the time, Trump had reacted to Kimmel's suspension on Truth Social and called Fallon and Seth "two total losers."
