"His messages are almost daily": Steve Burton’s ex-wife Sheree accuses him of "harassing" her over seeing their daughter

American actor Steve Burton, widely known for playing the character of Jason Morgan on Frank and Doris Hursley's classic American daytime soap opera General Hospital, is currently going through a rough patch with his former wife, Sheree Burton. The show, released back in 1963, has had 62 successful seasons. While Steve Burton played an important character on the popular soap opera, he has also starred on The Young and the Restless as Dylan McAvoy.

Steve Burton, currently married to Michelle Lundstrom since May 17, 2025, is having a tough time fighting Sheree over the custody of their youngest child, a minor. The 54-year-old actor shares three children with Sheree: Brooklyn, Makena, and Jack.

Sheree, who is an entrepreneur and wellness expert, has accused him of constantly messaging her about their daughter, Brooklyn, as per a recent filing that was obtained by In Touch. In those documents, Sheree allegedly claimed:

"In the past few months, [Steve] has started to message me and accuse me of parental alienation if he cannot get ahold of Brooklyn. His messages are almost daily and are harassing."

According to a statement provided to US Weekly by Steve Burton's lawyer, Sarah C. Clark, he has denied the accusations. The statement read:

"Steve maintains that Sheree’s allegations are categorically false. He has, and will continue to, act in the best interests of the parties’ daughter, Brooklyn, which includes ensuring there is frequent and continuing contact with both parents."

The statement further revealed:

"On May 12, 2025, the Court heard the evidence loud and clear and granted Steve additional custodial time with Brooklyn that Sheree was unwilling to provide."

In May 2023, after 23 long years of marriage, Steve Burton and Sheree broke the news of their split. However, both of them agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their three kids. On the other hand, in a recent document obtained by US Weekly, Steve claimed that Sheree had problems with his new wife, Michelle, and she was gatekeeping him from seeing their daughter, Brooklyn.

In the same document, Burton allegedly claimed that during the early days of his relationship with Michelle, Sheree refused to call his current wife by her name and deliberately referred to her as "the girl".
