Penn Badgley, aka Joe Goldberg from the Netflix series You, shared that his four-year-old is not named James, contrary to many people's knowledge. Though Badgley did not reveal his son's real name, he shared that he wanted to clarify the misinformation, which began on the internet/Wikipedia, because even people close to his family were referring to his son as James.

Penn Badgley, an American actor, is popularly known for his role in the popular teen drama series Gossip Girl and his recent role in the psychological thriller You. Badgley is married to British-American singer Domino Suzy Kirke. He has a four-year-old son with her and is expecting twin babies. He is also the stepdad to Kirke's son from a previous relationship.
According to US Weekly, in the May 1 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the You actor revealed to the audience that,
"This is a very weird thing to say, but our littlest, who is four… His name is not James."

According to the publication, the 38-year-old actor further explained that,
"The internet, on Wikipedia, for many years, his name was James. And we’d get it removed, it would go back. His name’s not James. And like, you know, I feel weird saying that but I just thought, well, you know what? I have a platform, why not clear the air?"
Badgley also informed the audience that people close to his family who "haven’t seen them in a while" addressed his son as James in a card, prompting him to make the correction. Badgley also shared that they are trying to keep their son's name undisclosed as long as possible, while assuring that he has a "good name."

Penn Badgley reveals an interesting connection between Gossip Girl and You
Other than having Penn Badgley as a main character, the two popular shows from two different decades also share something else. According to actor Penn Badgley, who played the role of Dan Humphrey in Gossip Girl and Joe Goldberg in You, they share the same set.
According to People Magazine, actor Penn Badgley was giving a tour of the You set to Architecture Digest when he shared that the place where Joe Goldberg kept his victims in You, aka the cage room, is the same stage where the Waldorf's Penthouse was set.
"A little bit of an interesting note. This is where we shot Gossip Girl... This is the same stage where the Waldorf suites or whatever, where they live - it was in this stage. "
He further shares that the Mooney’s Bookstore (where Joe worked in You) was where Dan Humphrey's loft was in Gossip Girl.
"The stage with the bookstore was where the Humphrey loft was. So this place is extremely familiar to me.”
