Nick Reiner has been arrested and is being held without bail on suspicion of his parents' Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner's murder.A day after actor, director, and producer Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead on December 14 at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home, their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested. TMZ alleged that Nick Reiner checked into a Santa Monica hotel, The Pierside Santa Monica, around 4 a.m. on December 14.Nick used his credit card to check in hours after allegedly getting into a heated argument with his father, Rob Reiner, at Conan O'Brien's Christmas Party. TMZ reported that when staff came in to check the room, they discovered blood on the bed, and that the shower was "full of blood." Reiner also never checked out of the hotel.Nick was taken into custody at around 9:15 p.m. on December 14 and booked by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on December 15. Nick was charged with a felony.Nick Reiner is responsible for the death of his parentsThe LAPD, in a statement released on December 15, revealed that Nick was behind Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner's deaths."The investigation further revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths. Nick Reiner was located and arrested at approximately 9:15 p.m. He was booked for murder and remains in custody with no bail. On Tuesday, December 16, the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration."Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner tied the knot in 1989. The couple shared three kids, Jake, Nick, and Romy Reiner. Rob also shared one daughter from his previous marriage to Penny Marshall. The Reiner family released a statement following the couple's death, saying,"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievable difficult time."Nick had been open about suffering from substance abuse issues since he was a teen. In 2016, during an interview with People, Nick revealed that his drug addiction began in his early teen years and eventually led to him living on the streets.
