Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz has a new documentary.

Adam Duritz, who was not just the frontman of Counting Crows but also its founder and songwriter, has attained commercial and critical success. The artist's life and career have been explored in the latest documentary, Counting Crows: Have You Seen Me Lately?

The new documentary, released on HBO Max on Friday, December 19, also sheds light on his high-profile romances with celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox. Duritz credited his friends for setting him up with Aniston in 1995.

“When I met Jennifer Aniston, my friends lied to me and her friends lied to her. They told us we both were really into each other,” he explained.

He added that he wasn't aware of Aniston back then as he was “busy during prime time”, which skipped his opportunity to watch any major TV shows. Duritz, however, mentioned that he was charmed after meeting Aniston.

"When we were getting ready to record, we would do these shows at the Viper Room and we would test out the material, and Jen came to the show and she’s cool,” he shared.
“She’s smart, she’s really funny, she’s beautiful and she likes me, apparently,” he added.

Duritz revealed that he met Aniston at The Viper Room in Los Angeles after their friends set them up.

Adam Duritz also made headlines after he dated Aniston's Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, in 1996, after his short-lived romance with The Morning Show star. His romance with Cox commenced after she starred in a Counting Crows music video for their song, A Long December. Duritz's bandmates also share their opinions and trivia in Counting Crows: Have You Seen Me Lately?

We learn from former bassist Matt Malley that Cox was a huge inspiration behind the band's second album, Recovering the Satellites.

“I don’t think their relationship was the healthiest thing in the world because Adam wasn’t the healthiest thing in the world at that point,” shared Duritz’s friend Randall Slavin.

Adam Duritz also shared his personal analysis of his relationship reaching its end with Courteney Cox.

“Courteney was probably my longest relationship, but I don’t know whether we were really together for a lot of it, we were very, very different people. And there were moments that were absolutely wonderful together and there were moments where it was really hard. We just weren’t on the same wavelength,” he shared.
