According to an exclusive by People Magazine published on May 8, Cody Johnson and his wife Brandi are expecting their third child, a baby boy. The publication reports that the singer announced the exciting news at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Cody Johnson, a 37-year-old American Country musician, is married to Brandi Johnson. They share two children and are expecting their third child. Cody and Brandi met as teenagers at a Future Farmers of America event, but their romance only began years later, when they met again at a local bar in Texas.

According to reports, Cody Johnson, who not only performed at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards but also won an award for Song of the Year, revealed to People Magazine on the Red Carpet that,

"We're having a little boy! We decided to make this our announcement to the world and our gender reveal as well."

According to Parade, Cody Johnson and his wife Brandi met when they were 17 and 14, respectively, at a Future Farmers of America event. According to the publication, Cody, injured due to a bull riding incident, still decided to participate despite being on crutches and a cast. This caught Brandi's attention.

Though there was no romance at this point, a few years later, the duo met again at a local bar in Huntsville, Texas. This time, it was Brandi, who was dancing, that caught Cody's attention. The singer asked for her number, and then everything was on fast track. A month later, they moved in together, and a year later, they got engaged. Cody and Brandi got married in 2008. The duo's first daughter, Clara, was born in 2015, and they welcomed their youngest daughter, Cori, in 2017.

Cody Johnson shares his excitement one becoming a boy dad.

The singer, who is a father to two daughters, also shared with People magazine that though he did not care about the gender of the baby when he found out it was a boy, he was pretty happy. He also shared that he is excited about how his girls will be a part of the journey.

Johnson shared that,

"I didn't care if this one was a boy or a girl, but I was pretty happy when I saw the gender reveal."

As per People Magazine, he also shared that since he is in a more financially secure position than before, his son is gonna get a few things sooner than his daughters,

"He's gonna get a horse a little quicker than my kids did. He's going to get to do some things a little quicker than my daughters did."
